Since Daytona Heart Group began in 1975, it has grown to be the largest provider of cardiology care in Volusia County. The practice provides a full range of cardiovascular services and testing in multiple offices.
With 12 cardiologists, 3 Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, 1 Certified Physician Assistant, about 43 staff members and a professional administrator, we have been privileged to care for thousands of lives in our community.
Dr. Roger Lewis started the practice in 1975 in rented space at 320 N. Clyde Morris Blvd, Daytona Beach, Florida. The office moved to 695 North Clyde Morris Blvd, Daytona Beach in 1980. The office was greatly expanded in 1990. In 1995, the practice added nuclear stress testing and transthoracic echocardiography. In 1998, the practice expanded to offices in DeLand and subsequently Orange City. The practice now includes an office in Port Orange.
Dr. Kim A. Klancke joined Dr. Lewis in 1981 and the practice was known as Cardiology Consultants, PA. Dr. Vance Wilson joined in 1992 bringing specialty training in coronary angioplasty. Dr. Francis Reed joined in 1995 bringing specialty training in nuclear cardiology. Dr. Glenn Rayos joined as an invasive cardiologist in 1996.
Also joining as an invasive cardiologist was Dr. Alan Goldsmith in 1998, and Dr. Beth Bartholomew in 2005. In 1998, Dr. Oscar West started cardiology practice in DeLand and Dr. Lewis retired. Chad Broome-Webster started in DeLand/Orange City in 2002 and Marielle Lazard in 2007. Dr Hanscy Seide brought specialty skills in electrophysiology to the group in 2004.
Our physicians have had a profound impact on cardiac care in our community. Dr. Roger Lewis performed the first cardiac catheterization in the area in 1976. Dr. Wilson serves as Chief of Medicine at Halifax Health, Daytona Beach. Dr. Chad Broome-Webster serves as Chief of Cardiology at Florida Hospital Orange City. Dr. Hanscy Seide is Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Halifax Health.
Dr. Joshua Horenstein joined our group in 2009 and is in both our Daytona and Port Orange offices. Dr. Karen Christiane Theilade joined the group in 2011 and is in both our DeLand and Orange City offices.
