Dr. Oscar West hails from Jamaica. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica and attended Medical School at the University of the West Indies Medical School. He was a Clinical Cardiology Fellow at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University at Harlem Hospital in New York, NY and did his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine there as well. Dr. West was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has been with the group since 1998, practicing in the DeLand and Orange City offices.
Dr. West is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. West lives in DeLand with his wife Dionne and their three children.
